Plantars Wart Home Remedy And Relief From All That Pain

First let me begin by saying I'm not a health care professional, just someone who is passionate about pursuing home remedies and natural cures to keep myself and my family healthy, out of the doctors office and away from pharmaceuticals.

Recently my husband discovered a small, tender spot on the bottom of his foot. At first he thought it was the result of a glass lid I managed to drop on the kitchen floor and shatter into approximately a millions or so glass slivers. That would have been preferred to the large and extremely painful planters wart he suffered from for over a month.

If you have landed on this page, perhaps you are experiencing similar agonizing pain yourself. We tried OTC "cures" from the local pharmacy and a few home remedies that didn't do much good.

I decided to get serious with this and find a remedy that would send this nasty thing away for good. Here is what first ended the majority of the pain and then eventually eliminated the Plantars Wart

First we soaked his foot at least once per day in hot water in a foot bath. I then added about a quarter cup of sea salt, a quarter cup of baking soda and 8 drops of Tea Tree essential oil to the foot bath. He soaked his foot as long as possible, but a minimum of fifteen minutes each time.

While a foot bath probably wouldn't be absolutely necessary, it sure did help to keep the water moving and these three pain saving ingredients circulating to work their wonders on his foot!

The purpose of using the Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Oil) is because of its anti-virual properties as Plantars Warts are caused by the HPV virus.

My reasoning behind using the sea salt is it's believed that sea salt draws toxins out of the body. I use it regularly in our bath water for that purpose as well as its ability to act as an antiseptic. The baking soda raises the alkalinity of the water. It's believed that viruses do not thrive in an alkaline environment. Baking soda and sea salt have been used together for hundreds of years to create a detox bath, surely it would help with this? My husband swears that the unbearable pain began to subside once we began these foot baths and after a couple of days he would remain almost pain free until he was on his feet for an extended length of time.

After each foot bath, I applied Bee Propolis directly to the Plantars Wart, covered it with a large bandage and wrapped tape around his foot to ensure the bandage stayed put until we were ready to change it again.

Bee Propolis is a sticky substance that is naturally produced by bees to protect the bee hive from the elements as well as to protect from bacteria, disease and parasites from entering the hive. The health benefits that we can reap from bee propolis are many, including success in eliminating Plantars Warts for good!

Stretching For Ideal Health

New year, new methods to explore in regards to getting in shape. First, let me say I've never been a fan of "going to work out". I've got nothing against the gym or health clubs for others, my husband goes religiously, and loves it. For myself, however, give me the great outdoors or if the weather says otherwise, the privacy of my own home.

I also prefer something easy. Not easy as far as physical exertion, but easy meaning not a lot of equipment or gadgets to mess with. I prefer to stretch, do some yoga and then exert myself either in an outdoor activity or workout.

I recently discovered a method of working out primarily using stretching to leverage maximum results in your work out. This coincides with my belief that everything feels better after stretching. The first thing I do in the morning is stretch and begin my day better because of it.

In this DVD by Naturecast Products stretching is the basis of the workout.  It teaches you how to maximize your work outs using stretching as opposed weight resistance, but at the same time building strength, muscular definition as well as range of motion and flexibility.  Another advantage that appeals to me is the relaxation and  peace of mind that results from stretching.

The program is written by and taught a personal trainer, I thought it would be kind of nice to have a personal trainer in my home from time to time, without paying those fees, of course!

I signed up for the free newsletter from Naturecast Products and look forward to reading more about improving my health.

Are New Year's Resolutions A Waste Of Time?

Approximately 40 to 45% Americans take a stab at making at least one New Year's Resolution each year.

Not surprising the most common resolutions are weight loss, smoking cessation and more exercise.

Unfortunately almost half of these resolutions are all but forgotten once the six month mark approaches.

Improved health, what ever your perception of that may be, is often achieved by taking baby steps and setting goals at the beginning of a brand new, fresh year is a great time to start.

Sometimes baby steps, while making the task of reaching a specific goal more time involved, can in fact ensure that a goal is reached simply because it no longer appears as an overwhelming, daunting task.

I have set several resolutions to achieve a better level of ideal health and while each year I might slide back on some of my resolutions, I really feel that at the conclusion of each year I come out healthier, more balanced and a better me than when I started.

When I don't fulfill my full resolution, do I feel like I fail? Nope. The only time I feel like I fail is when I quit trying to improve anything about myself at all.

Where do you stand on New Years Resolutions? I'd love to hear from you.
